High School Scholarship Program

A scholarship will be awarded to any school that meets the following requirements during the 2009-2010 school year:

• Hosts at least 2 blood drives and achieves same collection amount as last year - $250
• Hosts 3 blood drives and achieves same collection amount as last year - $350
• Hosts 4+ blood drives and achieves same collection amount as last year - $450
• Achieve a 20% growth rate and run at least two blood drives and your school will receive an additional $150 in scholarship money!

Schools that achieve the highest growth rate across the region will be awarded additional scholarship money:

• Top school in the region - $2500
• Top 2-11 schools in the region - $1000
• Top 12-21 schools in the region - $500
• Top 22-41 schools in the region - $250

(Growth rate is calculated by subtracting the total number of units collected last year from the total number of units your school collects this year and dividing that number by last year's total units.)

If your school is located within the American Red Cross New York-Penn Blood Services Region then you are eligible to participate in the High School Challenge scholarship program!
